My Dad
My Dad was always someone you could depend on to be there when you needed him. One year my basement flooded. He was in his seventies but he was there for hours helping me to cleanup the mess. My Dad had a great sense of humor. He could always make you laugh with silly puns or April Fools Tricks. He was one of the most generous person I've ever known. more than one person stayed with him while they got back on their feet. He was a great teacher who cared greatly for all his kids. One year he even brought home 2 of his students from foster care who needed a home for a brief time. He was a very smart man. He was one thesis away from earning a doctorate in education. One summer I had the opportunity to work as his secretary at the Summer School where he was the principal. Everyone loved Mr. George! He was an awesome cook. I wish I had followed in his footsteps in that area because I will miss his apple pies at Thanksgiving and his blueberry dumplings or beef stew. I hope he is having fun in heaven playing a round of golf with all our family who have passed.
