I would like to send my deepest condolences to Dell's family for your loss and share a few thoughts about Dell from my perspective.
I have always considered Dell a member of my family as well. When Dell sold her home and moved, I knew then that I wouldn't be seeing much more of her which was really sad.. I always enjoyed spending time with her.. She was always there for our holiday/family get togethers, she was part of the family after all! I'm glad she got to see all of my girls and I always locked her kind words away deep in my heart.. She used to say "oh they are such good babies, because you are such good parents, that's where they get it" and I remember how she used to LOVE watching me open my Christmas gifts because I "truly loved them all" since I would practically put on each gift as I opened it! She made those blueberry cakes "just" for me, which I do miss, they were delicious! There will never be anyone I know who can answer those jeopardy questions as quick as her! Sharp as a tac she was! And she always spoke her mind! She was also always willing to help.. Like when I was prepping for my first colonoscopy and she yelled up the stairs to me to offer to give me the enema! Dell I'm all set! She taught me the proper way to set the table. If she didn't like someone she damn sure told you, and vice versa! These are some of the things I've been thinking about as I look back on what kind of a woman Dell was.. She was truly amazing and I am so happy to have known and loved her! love you Dell dear, love Meggy dear xoxo
