I don't know how old I was but we lived in Virginia. Honeysuckles grew along a fence that was behind or near our house. I think we could go through the fence to get to school. Anyway, my dad showed me that you could suck on honeysuckles and that they were sweet. My strongest memory is when he came home from a cruise and we were all so happy. Another ship had been attacked and everyone was so relieved that my dad and his shipmates were safe.
