Walter E. Madler, 90, of Shrewsbury died Thursday, September 22, 2016 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.

Walter was born and raised in Worcester son of the late Samuel and Anna
Madler. He graduated from Commerce High School and received a drafting certificate from Whitter Technical School.

Mr. Madler had worked for Morgan Construction Company for forty three years before he retired. In his retirement he enjoyed bowling and fishing with his family and friends.

His wife of forty seven years, Esma A. (Attella) Madler died in 2001. He leaves two daughters, Edna A. Madler and Catherine L. Marcello Ginese both of Shrewsbury; two grandchildren, Tyler Marcello of California and Ryan Marcello of Worcester; a great grandson, Adam Phaneuf of Paxton; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Walter is predeceased by four siblings, Francis, Anthony, Katherine and Alex.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service honoring Walter’s life on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 11 AM in Notre Dame Cemetery (St. Theresa Section) Webster St, Worcester.
