Obituary for Joan A Wahlstrom
AUBURN/DUDLEY- Joan F. (Petty) Wahlstrom, formally of Auburn and Dudley Mass, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Knollwood Nursing Home in Worcester.
Joan is survived by her three children, John Wahlstrom and his wife, Beth of Shrewsbury, Deborah Nash of Leicester and Judith Dugas and her husband, Arthur of Rhode Island; seven grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester “Gus” Wahlstrom and her seven siblings.
Joan and Gus enjoyed day trips to the Maine coast exploring the back roads and out of the way places. When not with Gus, Joan was happiest ‘stuffing’ as many friends into her van as possible and driving to the casino to play bingo and the slots. She will be sorely missed and will be always loved by her family and friends.
All are welcome to a funeral Mass celebrating Joan’s life on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 10 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main St. Shrewsbury. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
