Obituary for Elaine E. Brown (Gaulin)

AUBURN- Elaine E. (Gaulin) Brown, 66, of Auburn, died Monday, June 29, 2015 in UMASS Medical Center-University Campus surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born and raised in Southbridge, daughter of the late Ralph and Mary (Difrederico) Gaulin.

She leaves her husband of 42 years, Peter C. Brown; her children, Timothy Martin of Clifton Park, NY, Corina McGown and her husband, David of Oxford, Thomas Brown and his wife, Jesse of Lowell, Peter C. Brown, Jr., and his wife, Sara Spector of Uxbridge, Kimberly Hegarty and her husband, Matthew of Groveland and Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Jennifer of Sturbridge; fifteen grandchildren, Karissa, Tyler, MacKenzie, Nathan, Chad, Travis, Madison, Tayla, Jade, Ashleigh, Kyle, Cameron, Seamus, Payton, and RoseMary; one great grandson, Jackson; two brothers, Albert Gaulin and his wife, Shirley and Charles Gaulin all of Southbridge; and her canine friend, Molly. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter R. Gaulin.

Elaine had worked for many years at the Friendly’s Restaurant in the Auburn Mall before taking a positon in the Lunch Program for Auburn Schools. Even though Elaine worked outside her home for many years, her most cherished job was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.

She enjoyed traveling and camping with Albert and Shirley was always a special treat. . Elaine also treasured staying in touch with family and close friends on social media.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Elaine’s family, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 from 5-8 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Burial will be private in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Southbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01710.
