Obituary for Sally Tracy
AUBURN- Sally A. (Petersen) Tracy, 66, of Auburn died peacefully Monday March 16, 2015 surrounded by her family.
She leaves her loving son, Justin and his wife Elsie of Auburn and her brother, Marty Petersen of Florida.
Sally was born and raised in Nashua, NH, daughter of the late Martin H. and Albina R. (Laukash) Petersen. She earned her B.S. in Business Education from Plymouth State College in Plymouth, NH. She worked as a legal assistant for National Grid in Westborough for 18 years and most recently as an administrative assistant with White Water, a division of RH White, in Charlton.
A devoted volunteer at The Hanover Theater in Worcester for 7 years and active with the Volunteer Social Committee, Sally had also held the position of Chapter President for Parents Without Partners in Auburn and was involved at a national level with the organization for 16 years which gave her the opportunity to travel the country and see many new cities with her son. She enjoyed her time helping the 120 Club at Our Lady of the Angels Parish in Worcester, and had made many fond memories with the Westborough/Northborough Social Club. Learning from her mother at a young age, Sally was talented at knitting and crochet and often made gifts for friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sally’s family on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn, MA. Burial will be private. Memorial Donations in Sally’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701 and the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
