Obituary for Joan L. Robitaille

Joan L. Robitaille, 78, of Auburn died Saturday, March 21, 2015 in her home.

She leaves a sister, Jean Y. Robitaille of Auburn; a nephew, Kevin Grignon and his wife, Holly and their children, Jody Vaughn, Kerrie Pentland, Leslie Colton and Andrew Grignon; a niece, Donna Neely and her husband, Steve and their children, Amy Bayly, Lisa Faria and Meghan Neely; several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Lorraine Grignon and Virginia Robitaille.

She was born and raised in Auburn, daughter of the late Omer and Agnes (Perron) Robitaille. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1955.

Joan had worked for the Auburn Housing Authority for over 10 years before retiring. She previously worked at Cincinnati Milacron. She was a life-long communicant to f Saint Joseph’s Parish in Auburn.

Relative and friends are invited to visit with Joan’s family on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Her funeral will be on Thursday, March 26, 2015 with her funeral Mass celebrated at 10 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
