Edward P.  Binnall
Edward P. Binnall, 82, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 16, 2015 after an illness.

He leaves his wife of 62 years, Eleanor M. (Lawrence) Binnall. He is also survived by his four children: Robert Binnall of Auburn, Brian Binnall and his wife Melanie of Worcester, Nancy Caporello and her husband David of Princeton, and Mark Binnall of Auburn; two grandchildren, Brian and his wife Kelly of East Longmeadow, MA and Michaella Caporello of Princeton; and two special great-grandsons, Jack and Brady Binnall of East Longmeadow. He also leaves two sisters: Dorothy Sylvestre of Gardner and Marion Connors of Baldwinville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by a sister, Yvonne Greenwood and two brothers, Raymond and James Binnall.

Ed was born in Gardner, MA son of the late Thomas and Rose (Savoie) Binnall. He graduated from Gardner High School in 1949 and Worcester Junior College in 1965. He was employed for many years in sales at Leland-Gifford Company in Worcester. In 1985 he began a second career as the Director of the Senior Aide Employment Program at Catholic Charities Worcester County before retiring in 2004.
Ed was a thoughtful, kind, and selfless man who was instrumental in the planning and development of Kateri Tekakwitha Senior Housing in Auburn. He was a devoted member of North American Martyrs Parish for 58 years, where he served as lector and was the chairman of the Parish Council for 14 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Friends of the Auburn Senior Center, Auburn Council on Aging, Keeping Auburn Warm, and Auburn Housing Authority. He also served on the Board of Directors of Mercy Centre and the Board of Directors of Catholic Charities of Worcester.

Family and friends are invited to visit with Ed's family from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street in Auburn. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
