AUBURN-Barbara C. (Studley) Bernard, 75, of Auburn died peacefully on Saturday August 23rd in the Life Care Center.
Her husband Frank J. Bernard died in 1989
She is survived by her sons, William Finnegan and his wife Deborah, Donald Finnegan, Jr., Brian Bernard, Alan Bernard and his wife Tammy, her daughters, Deborah Kent, Evamarie Beauregard, Kellie Michalidis, Tina Kelly and her husband Tony. She leaves 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; she leaves behind her sister-in-laws Judy Studley and Barbara Bernard and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara is predeceased by her brother Richard Studley and her sister Judith Studley.
Barbara was born in Worcester; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Leone (Delorey) Studley. She was a graduate of Wachusett Regional High School in 1956, where she was a Majorette.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and puzzles. She loved hosting big holiday gatherings. Barbara was a 45 year resident of Auburn. She was a foster mother to many, many children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, August 27 from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street in Auburn. Her funeral will be held Thursday August 28 at 10:00 AM in the First Congregational Church of Auburn 128 Central Street. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
