I worked with dick dufour for many years at the Heald Machine Co. He worked in the sheetmetal department and I worked in the screwmachine department, which were close to each other. We did many favors for each other, and one of the best projects we worked on was a small field cannon that I was building from scrap materials in the junk boxes. We still kept in touch after Heald closed down. I visited him im Boylston a few times and he had dinner at my home in Blackstone a few times, and we would have phone coversations. I am still working at a full time job programming and operating maching centers and when I got home from work at 5:30 and read the paper I was dissapointed that I would be unable to make the wake. He was a good man and a good friend , and I willl miss him.
