Genevieve D. (Piotrowski) Kasper, 90, a longtime Shrewsbury resident, died peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Worcester. Her beloved husband of 43 years, Stanley G. Kasper died in 1991. She leaves her four children, Stanley W. Kasper and his wife Gail of New Seabury, MA, Joyce K. Moquin and her husband Donald of Upton, Richard D. Kasper and his wife Kathy of Westborough, and Sharyn K. DeMango and her husband Joseph of Shrewsbury; her nine grandchildren, Stanley W. Kasper, Jr., Brian Kasper, Crysi Pinto, Kelly Kasper, Jennifer McCarthy, Gregory and Garrett Kasper and Joseph and Jeffrey DeMango; as well as several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Stella and Alice. Genevieve was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late John and Wladyslawa (Nowakowska) Piotrowski and moved to Worcester when she married Stanley. She spent her life as a homemaker, and was most filled with joy when she was caring for and spending time with her beloved family. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Shrewsbury and enjoyed visiting the beaches of the south shore and Cape Cod. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Genevieve’s family on Tuesday, July 9th from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will then follow at 11 AM in Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
