Kathleen A "Kathy"  Lagacy (Dubsky)
Kathleen Ann “Kathy” (Dubsky) Lagacy, 79, longtime Auburn resident died Thursday September 13, 2018 in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born one of four children to the late Anthony P. Dubsky, Sr and Catherine (McGuirk) Dubsky and graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School with a certificate in Hairdressing. She continued her cosmetology education at the American School of Beauty in New York City. She later met and married the love of her life, Donald A. Lagacy and they married on May 13, 1961 at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Worcester.

Kathy was a hairdresser for over 45 years. Her first job was at Denholm’s Department Store Beauty Salon in Worcester, later taking a position at Barry’s Beauty Salon and working there for many years where she worked with many that became her close friends. With some of those friends she moved to Patti’s Expression in Auburn where she worked until she retired.

Kathy was a faithful member of Saint Joseph’s Parish in Auburn. Kathy had several hobbies, she enjoyed Candlepin Bowling and was a member of several leagues; she loved talking to people and enjoyed many “Lunch’s with the “Girls”; she was a movie enthusiast and also played loved playing the game Bunco.

She leaves her loving husband of 57 years, Donald A. Lagacy; her beloved children, Karen Tucker and her husband Richard of Spencer and Jeffrey Lagacy of San Diego, CA; two grandchildren, Nicole DeMaio and her husband Anthony DeMaio, Jr., of Spencer and Alison Tucker of Spencer; a brother, Richard Dubsky and his wife Rosalie of Auburn; one nephew, Michael Dubsky and his wife Valerie of Hixson, TN; two nieces, Lynne Leclair and her husband David of Grafton and Laurie Dinsdale and her husband Keith of Dudley; two grandnephews, Timothy Dinsdale of Dudley and Matthew Leclair of Grafton and a grandniece, Lauren Leclair of Grafton. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two brothers, Anthony P. Dubsky, Jr., and Robert Dubsky.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Kathy’s family on Monday September 17, 2018 from 4-8 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral will be on Tuesday September 18, 2018 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to St Joseph's Church Auburn MA.
