Obituary for Robert S "Bob" Bazydlo

Robert S "Bob" Bazydlo
Robert S. “Bob” Bazydlo, 71 of Dudley passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, 2018 after being stricken ill at home.

Bob was born and raised in Clinton, son of the late William and Wanda (Makowski) Bazydlo. He graduated from Clinton High School in 1964 and New England School of Accounting, attended Clark University, and served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Bob leaves behind his wife Deborah (Gonyea) Bazydlo, son Scott Bazydlo and wife Tara of New Hampshire, daughter Beth Rayworth and husband Tim of North Carolina, son Jason Reed and wife Erika of California, and son Brian Reed and wife Jessica of Virginia; six grandchildren: Katelyn, Julia, Skylar, Delaney, Brendan, and Logan; his brother, Bruce Bazydlo and wife Debra; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his brother, William Bazydlo, and in-laws William and Gretchen Gonyea.

Bob worked for The Paul Revere Insurance Company for over 20 years before he retired in 1997. In his retirement years he held several part-time jobs, most recently with NAPA Auto Parts, which he enjoyed. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family and friends will miss his kind-hearted, generous nature. Bob was amiable and had the ability to start conversations anywhere with anyone - often leaving people laughing. He enjoyed sports and was an avid New England sports fan.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Bob’s family on Thursday June 21, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 pm at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn followed by a service honoring his life at 3:00pm. Burial will be held privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Worcester County Food Bank, 474 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
