Robert F "Bob"  Murray
Robert F. “Bob” Murray, 88, of Shrewsbury passed peacefully on Sunday June 3, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born and raised in Boston, son of the late Robert J. Murray and Anna (Simpson) Murray. He served his country proudly with the Massachusetts National Guard for several years.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Helen C. (Barry) Murray; six children, Judith Graham of Atkinson, New Hampshire, Joanne Rahmati and her husband Jonathan of Shrewsbury, Christine Murray of Hampstead, New Hampshire, Maryellen Celularo and her husband Michael of Worcester, Robert Murray of Shrewsbury and Joseph Murray and his wife Linda of Bristol, Rhode Island; five grandchildren, Michael Celularo of Dedham, Steven Celularo and Diana Celularo both of Worcester, Daniel Graham of Atkinson, New Hampshire and Olivia Murray of Bristol, Rhode Island; a brother, George Murray of Boca Raton, FL; and many niece and nephews.

Bob held the position of Vice President at the Donnelly Outdoor Advertising Agency in Worcester for 32 years until the company was sold, and then operated his own advertising agency until retirement. He enjoyed his family dogs, and many outdoor activities, including skiing, skating, hiking and camping. He also owned several sailboats and introduced countless people to the world of sailing.

The Murray family would like to extend a special thank you for the kindness and compassionate care Bob received at St. Mary’s Healthcare Center in Worcester.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit Bob’s family on Wednesday June 6, 2018 from 4-7 PM at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St, Shrewsbury. His funeral will be on Thursday with a funeral Mass celebrated at 11:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury.
