Obituary for Kathleen M. Sabacinski (Remillard)

SHREWSBURY- Kathleen M. (Remillard) Sabacinski, 82, of Shrewsbury, died unexpectedly in her home on Friday, July 8, 2016.

Kathleen was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn, daughter of the late Henry F. and Kathleen M. (Connor) Remillard. She graduated from Saint Peter’s High School in 1954. In 1962, Kathleen married Joseph W. Sabacinski and they had a wonderful twenty seven year marriage until his death in 1989.

Kathleen had worked as a junior accountant for the New England Power Company in Westborough for many years before she retired in July of 1990.
Kathleen alongside her husband traveled extensively for many years. When she was not traveling, her other hobby was bowling. She was a longtime member of the Mill Street Bowling Leagues. In her retirement years, Kathleen volunteered her time at the Saint Anne’s Church Thrift Shop in Shrewsbury.

Kathleen leaves a brother, Richard H. Remillard of Ontario, Canada, three sisters, Elaine A. Pierce of Worcester, Mary M. Remillard of Charlton and Ann M. Laboranti of West Springfield; also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass for Kathleen that will be celebrated on Wednesday July 13, 2016 at 10 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North, Auburn. Burial will be next to her husband in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sisters of Mercy Retirement Fund, 101 Barry Road, Worcester, MA 01609.
