AUBURN/HOLDEN- Dorothy H. (Laban) Spokis, 86, of Holden formerly of Auburn died Monday, June 27, 2016 in Saint Vincent Hospital after an illness.

Her husband, Alphonse J. Spokis died in 1982. She leaves her two sons, Ronald J. Spokis and his wife, Veronica of Sutton and Ralph J. Spokis and his wife Mary of Holden; five grandchildren, Kevin and Michelle Spokis, Erica Foskett, Colleen Boria and John Spokis; six great grandchildren, Jaiden, Cole, Mason, Addison, Camden and Ariana; also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, Bernard and John Laban and a sister, Patricia Sharkus.

Dorothy was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Anthony N. and Barbara A. (Waitkus) Labanauskas. She graduated from Commerce High School. Dorothy had worked many years as a bank teller for several banks in the Worcester area.

She was a member of Saint Joseph’s Parish when she lived in Auburn.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dorothy’s family on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 9:30-10:30 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME 91 Central Street, Auburn. Her funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street North Auburn. Burial will be with her husband in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Donations in her memory can be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750.
