Obituary for Thomas E. Sullivan
Thomas E. Sullivan, 81, of Millbury passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 30, 2016 after a long illness.
He was born in Clinton and raised in Bolton, son of the late Edward R. and Mary (Grady) Sullivan.
Thomas spent his working years as a well driller for his father, E.R. Sullivan Drilling Company in Bolton and R.E. Chapman Company in Oakdale.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge in Clinton; an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan and enjoyed sightseeing and living in Tennessee and Montana.
He leaves his wife of 52 years, Marjorie (Quail) Sullivan; a daughter, Tammy-Jean Josti and her husband, Donald of Montana, a son, Timothy J. Sullivan and his wife, Cynthia of Millbury; three sons by a previous marriage, Thomas, Jr., William and Alan Sullivan; grandchildren, Ryan, Daniel, Sean, Dennis, Alex, Olivia, Mallory and Shannon Sullivan; two sisters, Winifred Lucht and her husband, Kenneth of Florida and Margaret Tindall of Berlin, MA; two brothers, Michael Sullivan of Bolton and Matthew Sullivan of Maine; also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a sister, Suzanne Sontag.
The Sullivan family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the staff members of Notre Dame Hospice for the compassionate care that was given to Thomas and wonderful support that was given to the family during his illness.
Funeral services for Thomas will be held privately. Donations in Thomas’ memory may be made to Notre Dame Health Care, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605. BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn is assisting the Sullivan family with arrangements.
