Peter Paul "Mr. B"  Beliunas
Peter P. “Mr. B” Beliunas, 93, of Auburn, died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Brookside Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after an illness surrounded by his loving family.

His wife of 68 years, Rita Rose (Clouthier) died in 2011. He leaves his children, Patricia A. Zegarra and her husband, Joseph of North Brookfield and Gary P. Beliunas and his wife, Linda of Brimfield; two grandsons, John J. Hanlan, Jr., and his wife, Robin of Charlton and David P. Hanlan and his wife, Jennifer of Smyrna, Georgia; five great-grandchildren, Devin and Kiley Hanlan of Charlton and Connor, Aiden and Miller Hanlan of Smyrna, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Shirley Beliunas of Auburn. Besides his wife, Peter was predeceased by a grandson, Michael J. Hanlan and a brother, Frank Beliunas.

Peter was born in Worcester, son of the late Frank and Damencela (Uza) Beliunas. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School in 1940 and then went to work at Watertown Arsenal. He later entered the United States Army Air Corp Cadet Program, serving his country proudly during World War II. While Peter was in the Air Corp Cadet Program, he was able to continue his education and receive certificates from various colleges. After his discharge from the service he returned to Watertown Arsenal, and eventually went to work at Wickwire Spencer Mills in Clinton and Palmer, MA.

He pursued a bachelor’s degree from Fitchburg State College. He started teaching mathematics at Worcester Boys Trade School in 1960, later graduating with a Master’s Degree and his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Fitchburg State College. Peter then became a guidance counselor and finally a school psychologist.

“Mr. B”, as he was known to his students, also worked in the evening programs at Worcester Boys Trade School and Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.

Family was the most important treasure to Peter especially when he was able to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also made time for some hobbies, which included fishing, hunting, building anything he could, including his own home. Later in life, with his wife Rita by his side, they enjoyed taking many mini excursions to Foxwoods and sharing their home with family and friends.

Mr. Beliunas’s funeral will be on Friday, August 28, 2015, with a calling hour from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn followed by his funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street, North, Auburn.
