Raymond R. "Ray"  Cyr
AUBURN - Raymond R. Cyr, 80, of Auburn went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 11, 2015, after an illness, surrounded by his loving family.

Ray leaves his loving wife of 55 years, Lorraine A. (Millette) Cyr; his children, Jeffrey Cyr and his wife, Jeanne of NC, Maureen Hull and her husband, Kevin of CT and Darren Cyr and his wife, Melinda of North Oxford; six grandchildren, Marissa, Kody, Tyler, Nathan, Olivia; and Zachery who predeceased him; and a sister, Jacqueline Grenier of Deltona, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was born and raised in Worcester, son of the late Romeo and Dolores (Boivin) Cyr. He graduated from Saint John’s High School.

Ray worked for over 19 years for Wyman Gordon before retiring. He was a member of North American Martyr’s Church; the Auburn/Webster Lodge of Elks, and the Retired Greendale Men’s Club of Worcester. He was a basketball referee for many years and helped to establish the Auburn Over 55 Softball League. Ray was an avid golfer, achieving Two Hole in Ones, and his favorite hobby was gardening. Ray and Lorraine enjoyed wintering in FL for many years.

Family and friends are invited to attend Mr. Cyr’s funeral Mass that will be celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 11 AM in North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will be private in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Memorial donations can be made to Boston Children’s Cardiac Foundation. Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn is assisting the Cyr Family with arrangements.
