Obituary for Dale M. McGrath (Racki)
AUBURN- Dale M. (Racki) McGrath, 59, of Auburn died Thursday, April 9, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family after an illness.
Dale leaves her husband of 32 years, William P. McGrath; her mother, Leona (Leavy) Racki of Auburn; two brothers, William Racki and his wife, Jen of Worcester and Fred Racki of Miami, Florida; a sister, Karen delaGorgerdiere and her husband David of Auburn; three nephews, Dana and his wife, Becky, Joel and Andrew ; a niece, Kate and her husband, Rob; two step-sons, Kevin McGrath of Oxford and Michael McGrath of Worcester. She was predeceased by her father, William Racki and a brother, Roy Racki.
She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn. She graduated from Auburn High School in 1973.
Dale was a dedicated employee for the past 32 years for T.J. Maxx in Worcester where she made so many wonderful friends, she was still employed at the time of her death. Working took much of Dale’s time, but she had several other pastimes that she enjoyed such as traveling, camping, KENO and trips to the casino and watching her beloved Red Sox and Patriots.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dale’s family on Sunday, April 12, 2015 from 2-5 PM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A service honoring her life will be on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. Memorial donation can be made to VNA Hospice, 126 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or to The Kathleen Sabina Animal Compound, c/o Town Accountant, 104 Central St., Auburn, MA 01501.
