Anthony F.  Grokaitis Jr.
Anthony F. Grokaitis Jr., 84, of Auburn, died Monday, February 2, 2015 in his home.

His wife, Mary Eileen (Willett) Grokaitis died in 2006. He leaves his children, Lois Marino and her husband, James Wilson of Oxford, Gail Chavoor and her husband, Randy of Delray Beach, FL and Anthony J. Grokaitis and his wife, Lisa of Worcester; a sister, Dorothy Curry and her son, Gary Ayik both of Orange City, FL; five grandchildren, Thomas, Jason and his wife, Natasha, Kyle and his wife, Kendra, Corinna and Tristan; three great grandchildren, Joshua, Tyler and Adam. He was predeceased by a sister Theresa Grokaitis.

Anthony was born in Worcester, son of the late Anthony and Stella (Karpowicz) Grokaitis. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School.
He then like most men at his age, enlisted in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict where he served on the USS CHIPOLA and the USS VULCAN.

He stated his working career when he came home from the service and took a job with Norton Company in Worcester where he worked for over 30 years before he retired from Warner Swasey Division of the company.

Relative and friends are invited to visit with Anthony’s family on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM in North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Avenue, Auburn. Burial with military honors will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn.
