AUBURN- Rita J. Baker-Potvin, 96, of Auburn, died peacefully in her home on Friday, December 19, 2014.

Rita leaves a daughter, Mary A. Adamski of Charlton ; a son, James R. Baker and his wife, Marie of Charlton; three grandchildren, Lynn Pepin and her husband, David and their daughter, Josefine all of Charlton, Amy Baker of Worcester and Luke Baker and his fiancé Jillian Stutman of Dudley; also surived by members of the Desrosiers and Potvin families. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Robert W. Baker and Alfred Potvin; a son, John W. Baker, two brothers, Alfred and Bernard Dupont and a sister, Bernadette “Claire” Klocek.

Rita was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Alderic and Eva (Chabot) Dupont. She graduated from Classical High School. Rita spent her entire life being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. Lovingly she spent many hours baking her famous cakes, tending to her beautiful yard and gardens and enjoying doing her many crafts.

A calling hour for Rita will be on Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 9:30-10:30 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn followed by her funeral Mass at 11:00AM in North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn. Burial will be private. Contributions in Rita’s memory can be made to Central Mass Hospice, 191 Pakachoag Street, Auburn 01501 or to North American Martyr’s Church 8 Wyoma Dr, Auburn, MA 01501.
