Condolence: I cannot put into words how this woman helped me. She was kind, on the absence kindness. She was was wise in a maelstrom of chaos. She was not just teacher, but mentor, and loved one. I’m a better man for knowing her.

Condolence: I took piano lessons with Miss Giannini 40 years ago, can still play some Chopin from memory, but even more of an impact was her belief in me. Her careful listening and her guidance influenced my subsequent work as a therapist with children and their families, "passing it forward" to many. Her spirit lives on

Condolence: Thank you Miss G... for being who you were... for sharing your love of music with your students and your love for all of us. You have touched and enriched the lives so many of us. It's been over 40 years since I last saw you in person, and yet, it will always seem like yesterday. Happy memories, joy of singing, and your caring for us as we grew towards adulthood. Your room was a haven, a family room, a community, and a home we knew was there when we needed it. Bless you. Love you. See you again sometime...I have no doubt. Just give us time to warm up our voices!

Condolence: It is difficult to begin writing a tribute about someone when that person had such a huge unmistakable positive impact on my life. To know Toni is to be blessed. Miss G always made you first when she listened to you and she always made us feel respected. That was very important at the time. Her love of life and children could be seen by all. I will always treasure the time when I introduced my young son to her. It was very meaningful for me. The world is a better place because she was here and I am a better man because I knew her. Thank you my dear friend with so much love.

Condolence: Miss G. was the type of teacher most people only see in movies and TV shows. Someone who transcends the subject into lessons of life and love and self-esteem. I don’t think I’ve even spoken to Miss G. since I graduated, but what she taught me has been a part of me ever since. Thank you for that. I will never forget you. Much love. Condolence: The most amazing human being that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. She was so much more than a teacher.
She provided an environment that almost necessitated growth and insight in all of her classes. She had the ability to present great music without labels and textbook definitions, enabling her students to come to the realization on their own that were in the presence of something very special. Through her passion for music and teaching, she actually taught us about beauty, humility, spirituality, and above all, love. Love of music, love of live, and love of ourselves.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her as I did, but I'm sure, as we write these condolences, heaven is singing her praises as we did for so many years.

Condolence: I don't have many fond memories of my high school years, but my time spent in Miss G's classes were some of the best. She wanted so desperately for us to experience all the good things in life. I've thought of this many times over the years, and I wish I could've told her how much of an impact she made. Condolence: I'm so sorry to hear of Miss G's passing. My brother, sister and I were regulars in Rm 101. In that room, I survived High School. Ms. G's passion for music, high expectations and raw honesty about everything was a breath of fresh air. Every student felt special in her class! I only wish I had been in touch with her recently to let her know........

Condolence: I am so sad to learn of Miss G.'s passing. I was a regular in Room 101, and took every class she offered at Doherty in the late 60s. Inspired by her, I pursued my dream, and also became a music teacher, my profession to this day, 40 years later. I spent many evenings sitting around the table at Frank and Rosemarie's home, getting to know her nieces, Anne and Elizabeth and her nephew Frank. How she loved you three! (I also enjoyed many philosophical discussions with Louis.) Miss G. was truly an inspiration, both as an accomplished musician, and as a dedicated, passionate teacher. I will never forget her. She continues to inspire me to this day.
