Obituary for Ruth F. Ojerholm
AUBURN-Ruth F. (Ruksnaitis) Ojerholm, of Auburn died peacefully Monday in St. Vincent’s Hospital after a period of declining health. She was 85.
Her husband of fifty-five years, Richard C. Ojerholm, died in 2008
She leaves her two daughters; Judithann Burke and her husband Michael of Auburn and Plymouth, and Jane Balchunas and her husband Philip, of Tampa, FL., 4 loving grandchildren; Robinson Murphy and his wife Regina Gesicki of South Bend, IN Anna-Jane Murphy of San Francisco, Katharine Murphy and her husband Ryan Pigg of Indianapolis, IN., and Jennifer Balchunas of Gainesville, FL, and a sister Helen Leketa of Auburn.
She was born in Worcester. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Jankauskas) Ruksnaitis. She was educated in Auburn schools, and was a graduate of the Auburn High School, Class of 1947.
Ruth active in the Auburn community, as a member of the Emblem Club, Saint Joseph’s Church, and the former Auburn District Nurses. In her later years, she did volunteer work at the Fallon Clinic.
She loved to entertain, plan events and host large and small gatherings for friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 9:30-10:30 AM Wednesday December 3rd in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St. in Auburn. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home with a Mass celebrated at 11AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 189 Oxford Street, North in Auburn. Burial will follow aside her beloved Richard in Hillside Cemetery.
