Obituary for Antonet A. Goblaskas (Babowitch)

Antonet “Anne”(Babowitch) Goblaskas, 94, of Northborough, died peacefully surrounded by her family in Cape Cod Hospital.

He husband, Charles M. Goblaskas died in 1993. She leaves three daughters, Carol A. Goblaskas of Worcester, Barbara Dion and her husband, George “Skip” Dion of Brewster, and Shirley M. Forleo of Rutland; seven grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Anne who died in 2008; a son-in-law, James Forleo and three siblings.

Antonet was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Sinkevitch) Babowitch. She graduated from Worcester Girls Trade School.

Antonet had worked as a Supervisor for Davey’s Saddle Makers in Worcester for over 30 years, retiring many years ago. She had several hobbies including gardening, traveling and taking many trips to several of the area’s casino’s.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass which will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 10 AM in Saint Rose of Lima Church, 244 West Main Street, Northborough. Burial will follow in Saint John Cemetery, Worcester.
