Obituary for Helen E. Steinhilber
Helen E. (Pastner) Steinhilber, 98, of Shrewsbury died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 in the Life Care Center of Auburn after an illness.
Her husband of 58 years, Otto W. Steinhilber died in 1995. She leaves a son, Theodore W. Steinhilber and his wife, Susan of Auburn; a daughter, June M. Coolidge of Shrewsbury; 4 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Pastner.
Helen was born in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School and attended courses that the American Red Cross offered on Caring for the Sick. Helen lived on Boylston Circle in Shrewsbury a place she loved and lived for over 70 years. She and her husband Otto were longtime active members of the First Congregational Church of Shrewsbury where Helen was a member of the Women’s fellowship. She was longtime member the Stella Chapter of Order of Eastern Star.
Funeral services for Helen will be held privately in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home. Burial will take place at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Contributions in Helen’s memory can be made to the Memorial Fund at the First Congregational Church, 19 Church Road, Shrewsbury or to a charity of one’s personal choice.
