Obituary for Anne L. Nelson

Anne L. (Pearson) Nelson, longtime Auburn resident died Monday July 14, 2014 in the UMASS Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

She leaves her son, Stefan Nelson and his wife, Heather of Worcester; three brothers, Edward J. Pearson and his wife, Ann of Charlestown, K.C. Pearson of Athol and Stephen L. Pearson and his wife, Ilene of Melrose; two sisters, Terry Day and her husband William of Windham, NH and Elizabeth P. Falvey and her husband Dan of Walpole; 9 nieces and nephews and many close friends, particularly Cissy Martin and John Walsh.

Anne was born in San Francisco, California, daughter of the late Kenneth C. and Helen A. (Adams) Pearson. She graduated from Our Lady of Nazareth Academy in Wakefield, and later from UMASS-Amherst with a Bachelor’s Degree in English.

She had worked for State Mutual Insurance Company in Worcester for many years. Presently she was an Insurance Consultant for the McGurdy Group in Sturbridge. Anne was a devoted Catholic and very active in the North American Martyr’s Parish in Auburn.
Anne lived her entire life with grace. She filled her days with the beauty of her love of family, music, books, art and her beautiful gardens.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass celebrating Anne’s life on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 11 AM in her parish church, North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, Burial will be private. Memorial donations can be made to North American Martyr’s Church, 8 Wyoma Drive or to Tower Hill Botanical Garden, 11 French Drive, Boylston, MA 01505.
