Condolence: I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Virginia at the Lutheran Home where the lovely Mrs. Wright spent her final years. I met her early 2013 when my own dear Mom was placed at the Lutheran home. I will always have a special place Virgina in my heart. I loved her in a way that can't easily be explained. Through her, I met Susan, who so happened to be a sort of childhood acquaintance; Sue was a "friend of a friend", Alan C who was a mutual friend (who passed way before his time). And I recall meeting Sue 30+ years ago. To learn that this lady shared love for Virginia was heartwarming yet bittersweet. Seeing Susan with Virginia warmed my heart, always. It was evident that the love between these two girls was deep. I will miss seeing Sue and I will also miss seeing Virginia who made a life long impact on my soul. RIP sweet Virgina and my deepest sympathy to all who knew and loved her.
My deepest condolences on the passing of Virginia, a loving mom, coach, humanitarian. I regret that a seasonal sickness rendered me unable to attend the wake or funeral.
Mom was like a second mom to me as we were growing up on Howe Avenue. I remember vividly her humor, infectious laugh and generosity in almost everything I would see her do.
Mom was our coach, first teaching us how to throw and hit a baseball - which she could do so well.
Virginia touched so many people, especially me and she will be greatly missed.
