Shrewsbury-Catherine M. (Carolan) Berthiaume, 56, of Shrewsbury, died Monday, January 14, 2013 as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Auburn.

She leaves her husband of 36 years, Michael F. Berthiaume; her beloved daughter, Sarabeth Berthiaume of Shrewsbury; her three brothers, Kevin Carolan of Cousins Island, ME, and Michael and Paul Carolan, both of Holden. Cathy was born in Edgartown, MA, daughter of the late Bernard and Frances (Konapka) Carolan. She later moved to Shrewsbury as a young girl and then graduated from Shrewsbury High School. She later attended Quinsigamond College. Cathy has lovingly cared for her daughter Sarabeth since her birth as a stay at home mother. She enjoyed the beach and ocean, especially Cape Cod. She was a member of Saint Anne’ Parish in Shrewsbury.
A funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Cathy’s life will be held on Monday, January 21st at 11 AM in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike (Route 9 East), Shrewsbury. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. There are no visiting hours. The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
