Shrewsbury-Norma L. (Burdett) Wentzell, 77, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully on December 13, 2012 at the Notre Dame Long Term Care Center, Worcester. Her beloved husband of 50 years, John Robert “Bob” Wentzell, died 2006. She was the loving mother of two children, Paula Carlin (Wentzell) and her husband Stephen of Shrewsbury and John Wentzell and his wife Carole Laperriere of Southborough, MA . Norma was the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, David O’Brien, Sarah Ford, Mark O’Brien, Scott Wentzell and Erika Wentzell. She was born in in Worcester, MA to the late Norman and Marie Burdett. She was also the dear sister to the late Richard Burdett. Norma graduated from Brookfield High School and worked at the former Heald Machine division of Cincinnati Milacron, as well as the C & S Grocers and Wright Line, all in Worcester, MA. Norma was an avid golfer and along with her husband Bob was a long time member of Westborough CC. She and her husband also were active members of the First Congregational Church of Boylston for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Norma’s family on Sunday, December 16th from 4-7 PM in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Funeral services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Tower Hill Botanic Garden (www.towerhillbg.org) , 11 French Drive, PO Box 598, Boylston, MA 01505.0598, a place Norma always enjoyed spending time at.
