To Nanny

Nanny, Through the years you've taught me many things. Your sense of humor and never ending compassion for people has carried on until your last moments as they will continue to carry on in your next life as well as the rest of ours. You never cease to amaze me and teach me, even in your last hours you've reminded me and taught me what is most important in life. I realize now, more than I have in a very long time, life is not about what you have but about who you are and what you offer to the world, (t is about being the best person that you can be and loving unconditionally despite peoples mistakes, accomplishments, wrongs or rights. It is about being there for the ones you love, putting differences aside and caring and servicing others. It is about being the best person you can be and loving and being loved in return. You taught my dad to have a big heart, and he has given that gift to me and I intend to pass that along to Caleb. In your last hours, people came together not for their selfishness, not for what has been done or said in the past but to put an amazing woman first and show that family is in fact family and love does conquer and in times of need, or just at any given moment it is important to put differences aside, to love unconditionally and always take care of one another. Life is not about having everything you want but servicing people around you and being a caring compassionate person with no judgment, just love. That is a beautiful gift you have had your whole life and I will be forever grateful to have learned such a beautiful life lesson from a beautiful person. You've taught dad well, and as you were for him and he was for you I promise to always be by his side and Calebs. I will make you proud, all though it was very hard not to make you anything but that. Through this sadness of your leaving I am at peace knowing you are finally in a place where you can rest your wonderful soul, look down on us and continue to guide us in spirit and be with the many loved ones we have lost along the way. I'm sure Phillip and the rest of the family was waiting arms wide open to welcome you to the second journey of the rest of your life, because death ends a life not a relationship and your spirit, as Phillips, as everyone elses will forever be in our hearts. Not a day will go by were we will not think of you. Never forgotten and never truly gone. Thank you for all you've given me throughout my life. I love you nanny, A bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. Love Becky
